    KIEV, July 15 (Xinhua) -- Ukrainian Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) Oleksandr Danyliuk discussed the intensifying of bilateral cooperation in the security, cybersecurity, energy and financial spheres during his visit to the United States, according to NSDC's press service on Monday.

    During the official visit, Danyliuk held a number of meetings with the American politicians, officials, analysts, experts and diplomats.

    In particular, security cooperation between Ukraine and the United States were discussed with the National Security Advisor John Bolton, National Security Advisor to Vice President General Keith Kellogg and Special Representative for Ukraine Kurt Volker.

    "NSDC secretary Oleksandr Danyliuk discussed the prospects of the development of the bilateral relations between Ukraine and the United States in the military and defense spheres, as well as enhancement of defense capabilities during a meeting with U.S. Under Secretary of Defense for Policy John Rood and U.S. Under Secretary of State for Arms Control and International Security Andrea Thompson," read the statement.

    In addition, Danyliuk discussed cooperation in the cybersecurity field and the prospect of close coordination between Ukraine and the United States in this sphere.

    Danyliuk visited United States on July 9-11, according to the NSDC press service.
