SYDNEY, July 11 (Xinhua) -- A woman and a child have died after a car hit a tree and caught fire northeast of Sydney.
A police statement on Friday said that emergency services were called to reports of the collision in the coastal town of Hat Head, northeast of Sydney, at around 9:40 a.m. on Thursday.
Officers attended the scene and found that a vehicle had crashed into a tree and caught fire. A report on the incident will be prepared for the coroner of the state of New South Wales. ■
